  • Resource Bank for Online/Blended Delivery

    Delivering Curriculum Online CDN has just launched a new Resource Bank of guides for Online/Blended Delivery. They have worked closely with the sector to create a core set of useful guides in the following five areas to support delivery for the upcoming academic year: Designing for Online/Blended Delivery Preparing Materials Education for All Managing the Online Space Formative Assessment and Feedback For each area, they have chosen two primary resources that covers relevant and practical information in a very concise format (10-15 minutes). If you want to dive deeper, there are two longer reads (around 1 hour). Finally, they have chosen a single longer resource – either an online course or significant read to explore an area in more detail.     Sometimes the hardest thing to sustain in an online environment is a sense of community with your fellow students. The issue is compounded when students are joining the institution for the first time and there’s less opportunity to spend time together on campus. How then do we foster that sense of community, encouraging our students to form the bonds that can last a lifetime.   • Jisc Connect More 2020 - Online

    I attended the first day of the Jisc Connect More event today (details below) and found it very interesting finding out how other institutions have been achieving their learning and teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic. A lot of talk on how they are going to proceed into the next academic session. There is still 2 days left and if you sign up now you will be able to get recordings of the sessions you have missed. Well worth the time to attend or watch the recordings in my opinion. Emma
